First Post - Overall look.

The top issues of today: Economy, Health Care reform, Global Warming and Energy, Terrorism, the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Border Security and Illegal Immigration, Education, etc. Voters will be headed to the polls to vote for 1/3 of Senators, 435 members of the HoR, 37 governors (an important point to make) and on the what the legislative branch (and the Obama administration) has done so far to steer our country from crisis to prosperity.

Here are some highlights: Recession over, Amer. Recovery and Reinvestment Act, oil at 147 dollars per barrel (2008), bailouts, health care reform passes House recently, wind down of Iraq war, final 30,000-troop deployment to Afghanistan, Christmas Day 2009 failed terrorist bomb, Nuclear energy, Global Warming, etc.

Voters, time for the question: what are the parameters for a perfect congressional candidate? "Who" (Incumbent, Democrat, Republican, Third/ Tea Party, Independent) will you vote for and why? Did the 111th Congress not pass enough legislation (quantity)? Are you angry with the way health care reform turned out (quality)? Was experience necessary to bring about the change Obama promised (recall the campaign of 2008)? Share your thoughts here.
